No, Section 80D deduction is only available for premiums paid for self, spouse, dependent children, and parents. Siblings, in-laws, or other relatives are not covered.

No, the ₹5,000 limit is a total aggregate limit for the entire family (including parents) per financial year.
Can I pay health insurance premiums in cash?
